Prior to rejoining the J.R. Boehlke, Inc. team in early 2018, Brad worked with the Senior HR Leadership team at one of Wisconsin’s largest publicly traded companies. There Brad led the digital delivery of performance management processes for over 25,000 associates worldwide.

Before joining the corporate world, Brad served in the US Army for six years. Brad served in the Armor Corps as a Humvee, MRAP and tank gunner before becoming a battalion operations sergeant his final three years. Together they have three children: Cameron, Harper and Kenley. When Brad is not hard at work, he’s running the children to all of their swim, soccer and basketball games all over the Midwest.

Lauri Bausch

Lauri was born and raised in Washington County but has spent most of 2003-2020 as a modern day vagabond. She graduated from UW Eau Claire with a degree in Kinesiology. She even surprised herself to complete her college coursework in 4 years as on multiple occasions she left the country for several months at a time to play or coach rugby. An opportunity to work as a Strength Coach at the US Olympic Training center in 2008 threw her career intentions off course. Trainer to the US Bobsled & Skeleton team at that time, what was meant to be a “try it once” sort situation turned in to a several year career traveling internationally and competing for the US National skeleton team in pursuit of the 2022 Olympics. A hamstring tendon tear during Team Trials in October 2019 curbed her ability to be competitive at the start and entering the next season she was invited to join the coaching staff which she still maintains today. She has had the opportunity to coach on 3 of the 4 international race circuits, two Youth Olympics, coached Ghana at the 2018 Olympics while collaborating with her US colleagues, and has assisted many other nations as well. She has mastered the art of thrifty travel and has been to almost as many countries as her years in age.

Lauri began working at J.R. Boehlke, then Pro-Coat & Pro-Enterprises, in 2010. As the peak season for landscaping and pavement services were a near-perfect alignment with her offseason, it created an ideal situation for seasonal employment. She left Wisconsin for 3 summers to give other locations a try, and found herself back in Wisconsin March 2020 to be closer to family and return to work as the Office Manager at J.R. Boehlke. She finally has one foot on the ground as a first time home owner in Mequon, but she plans to keep her passion for sport and travel alive by coaching throughout the winter and returning to Mequon on her off weeks as she for the first time in her adult life calls one place “home”.

History

Pro-Coat was founded by Jason Boehlke in 1996, during his sophomore year of high school with the help of a project in his Marketing class. He learned how to seal coat by helping a relative on weekends. This business was started at his parent's house with a truck and a trailer. Leads were generated by handing out flyers after school and knocking on people's doors. Jason continued to grow Pro-Coat throughout college before graduating in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin: Whitewater with a degree in Economics and a minor in Health Promotion.

As part of Jason's high school marketing project, he created a business plan with the potential to grow in the future. He selected the name Pro-Coat because he planned on expanding into other areas of the outside service industry with using Pro- as the beginning for each business. The other business names that were part of this plan are Pro-Cut Lawn Maintenance, Pro-Pave Asphalt, Pro-Scapers, and Pro-Enterprises.

Pro-Cut was started in 2007 after Jason saw an opportunity with his advertising outlets to gain enough customers to start a lawn maintenance crew. Since then, Pro-Cut has expanded every year offering great service at a fair price. Pro-Cut also slowly started to enter into all aspects of the maintenance side of landscaping including tree trimming and removal, bed maintenance, mulching, and fertilization and weed control.

2008-2011 Pro-Coat and Pro-Enterprises expanded to offer hardscaping, paving, and mosquito control services.

In 2015 Pro-Coat and Pro-Enterprises as well as their subdivisions of Pro-Cut, Pro-Pave, Pro-Scapers, and Pro-Squito were combined under one new business entity, J.R. Boehlke, Inc.

1996

Jason started sealing driveways and Pro-Coat was established.

2008

Pro-Scapers started installing patios, retaining walls and sidewalks.

2011

Pro-Squito pest control services started.

2007

Lawn and landscape services began as Pro-Enterprises & it’s first subdivision Pro-Cut was established.

2009

Pro-Pave began with the help of his uncle who is well known in the paving industry for over 30 years.

2015

The new and final entity, J.R. Boehlke, Inc. was formed, while all of the previous entities were dissolved. This business was created because Jason wanted to put his name on each and every job moving forward.
